Electrochemical Biosensors

Course Description:
The aim of this course is to provide advanced formation on biosensors Research and Development, describing the concepts, methodologies, principles of operation, design, applications and state of the art. Topics emphasize the field of electrochemical devices. 


Course Format:
Intensive 2,5 days classes integrating lecture (morning) and laboratory sessions (afternoon) that will include hands-on training on various instruments and applications.

Instructors:
Lecturers from the Chemistry Department of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia and the Associated Laboratory REQUIMTE. Invited speakers from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (Dr. Ana Viana) and from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Coimbra (Prof. Ana Maria Oliveira Brett).

Chemistry Department, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Monte da Caparica

Fee:
€ 200 (includes course manual, coffee-breaks and farewell cocktail).
€ 150 (until 30th September, 2010)

There are no formal academic requirements for this course: all applicants are welcome if they have the necessary background to understand the course material.
