Maria João Ramos, head of the Theoretical and Computational Biochemistry Research Lab, and Filipa Marcelo, researcher at the Bio-NMR Spectroscopy Research Lab, have been nominated National Delegates of the Action Management Committee. The COST Action CM1407, “Challenging organic syntheses inspired by nature - from natural products chemistry to drug discovery”, involves 28 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom).
This action aims to promote the translation between fundamental academic research and industrial drug discovery by means of natural products chemistry. As Members of the Management Committee of this COST Action Maria João Ramos and Filipa Marcelo will be in charge of implementing, supervising and coordinating the activities of this Action.
