Research Interests
Research interests are mainly in the understanding the behavior of therapeutic active compounds and the structure/activity relationships that can explain their mechanism of action. Research interest can be dived in:(1) Biological and Biophysical studies of the mechanism of action of drugs, (2) Speciation of ligands and metal complexes in biological systems, and (3) synthesis and characterization of inorgânic complexes with possible therapeutic activity. The main goal is to achieve new knowledge, at a molecular level of biological systems (membranes, proteins and drugs) to try to counteract bacterial resistance.
