Research Interests
Structure-function relations in proteins associated to the iron metabolism; heme-binding proteins. Application of NMR techniques to: the determination of structures of proteins and peptides in solution; understand the interactions of proteins/peptides with specific ligands; study of the dynamic of protein and protein-ligand interaction, using relaxation parameters; the study (bio)polymer/copolymer interactions in non-conventional solvents (High-pressure NMR).
Understanding protein-ligand interactions, namely, protein-carbohydrates/peptidoglycan in Carbon Binding Modules of Cellulosome and phage endolysins.
