EUROTOX, the Federation of European Toxicologists & European Societies of Toxicology, elected a new executive committee for the period 2018-2020, during the 2018 Brussels Congress held September 2-5. Félix Carvalho, UCIBIO vice-director, and full professor at Faculdade de Farmácia - Universidade do Porto, is the new President-Elect.
EUROTOX member societies, together, have approximately 7,000 members. In addition, EUROTOX counts more than 200 individual members who come from 50 countries, mostly from Western Europe. Its mission is foster the science and education of toxicology, and influence regulatory and policy frameworks to promote the safety of humans, animals and the environment, and protect global health.
