A new bacterial virulence protein in Chlamydia infections identified by Jaime Mota’s Lab Researchers from the Infection Biology Lab at UCIBIO in FCT NOVA, led by Jaime Mota, have identified a new chlamydial protein that is injected by the bacteria in the host cells upon infection, being able to subvert host cell functions.

Luísa Peixe appointed member of the JPIAMR Scientific Advisory Board The Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) has appointed Luísa Peixe, head of the BacT-drugs Lab at UCIBIO in Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto, as a new member to the JPIAMR Scientific Advisory Board.
